Follow your intuition, look at the data, fail often
A weekly blog post about an insider glance of a 3-months journey into a startup accelerator.
We are finishing week 2 of Springboard. We are in the “shape” phase: the objective is to refine the value proposition of our business idea.
Are we building something unique? Which problem/need are we actually solving/fullfilling?
The best way to figure this out is to confront smart and experienced people with our vision. This is what we have been doing for the last 10 days in what looks like a speed-dating for startups: 20 min with a mentor, 10-12 mentors a day. Mentors range from experienced startup entrepreneurs, VC’s, angels, industry specialists, etc. We have now talked to 90 different people. Here is some of the comments:
- “Aaah the Belgian team, I’ve heard about you guys; I really like what you are doing!”

There’s so much content being slung around the internet. In our struggle to distill meaningful bits from the multiple feeds, I see opportunity in fostering offline experiences to help bring connectivity full circle.
Connecting online tools to offline communities speaks to a larger trend—a growing value for face-to-face interaction. We invest in technologies that connect people online, but the hope is that these connections will improve our quality of life offline.

We are also here to get you inspired and excited by the possibilities of life. We have decided to interview inspiring passionate people who are doing what they love and ask them very simple questions.

Hello Saya; in one sentence: who are you?
I am an “Accidental Entrepreneur” who has cobbled together a living via hanging out in coffeehouses, meeting quality folk while wearing slippers and sitting on her couch, and performing bad improvisation in front of 700.
What do you do?
I am the Owner of Mac ‘n Cheese Productions, a business that helps people live a Life of Yes.
Prolific New York sculptor Tom Sachs by The Selby. We would love to have both of them as Kicktable hosts one day!
